Travel Protection Plan

Lindblad's Travel Protection Plan helps protect your travel investment, your belongings and most importantly you, for those unforeseen circumstances that may arise before or during your trip. The plan is tailored specifically for Lindblad Expeditions guests and provides valuable medical and evacuation coverage, as well as protection in the event that you must cancel your trip.

Please note that you must purchase Lindblad's travel protection plan before you make your final payment. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return your plan within ten days after purchase. Your plan cost will be refunded if cancelled within ten days, provided you have not already departed on the trip or filed a claim. When so returned, the coverage under the plan is void from the original date of purchase. 

The Travel Protection "Plus" Plan offered by Trip Mate is only available to U.S. residents. If you are not a U.S. resident, Lindblad still recommends you purchase travel insurance to protect your travel investment.

Lindblad Expeditions Payments & Refunds

To reserve your cabin and lock in the final price, you will be required to place a deposit on your cruise. After you have placed a deposit to secure your reservation, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance of your fare at the final payment due date.

Payment schedules may vary for group bookings, holiday departures and certain longer voyages, due to high demand for these voyages.

Lindblad Expeditions accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card.

Cancellation and Refunds

Penalties may apply if you cancel or change your reservation. Penalties can be up to 100% of the amount paid, and deposits are often non-refundable. We recommend purchasing insurance to protect against covered unexpected events. Dining on a Lindblad cruise is a casual affair. Chefs prepare delicious meals using fresh ingredients that are sustainably sourced.

Main Dining Room Policies: Meals are offered in a single seating in the dining room with unassigned tables. Occasionally, meals are also served on deck or on shore.

Dress Code: Meals are informal and there is never a dress code.

Beverage Policy: All non-alcoholic beverages, plus wine and beer, are included on board the ship. Cocktails and spirits are included on National Geographic Explorer, National Geographic Orion, National Geographic Endurance, National Geographic Resolution, National Geographic Endeavour II, National Geographic Islander II, Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II. Starting January 1, 2024, cocktails and spirits will also be included on National Geographic Sea Lion, National Geographic Sea Bird, National Geographic Quest and National Geographic Venture.

Special Requests: Special dietary restrictions will be accommodated with advanced notice.

All dining rooms on board Lindblad ships are smoke-free.

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas on outside decks.
